Nico`s Kailua in Oahu

One of the best places to eat in Oahu, everything your order here tastes amazing. This is my favorite restaurant. Order the mango beer 😎, the fish and chips are awsome!!

To be fair we rolled up I guess about an hour before they advertise the buffet is over. No one seemed happy we walked in...finally asked if we should seat ourselves (no). They explained there was a buffet or limited appetizer menu. I turned to ask my husband and overheard ine employee say, "now they'll have to discuss it,"...your point? We decided to stay. The food was good but several dishes out which they weren't going to refill....fair enough but for $35 each?! I would suggest going during the busy time.

Pretty tasty but not overly impressive. Atmosphere and staff are great and the view of the stream is very pretty especially at dusk when they light the tiki lamps.Calamari is great as well as the lobster bisque flavor wise but no meat chunks.

Hands down some of the best food I've had on the island. Prices are a little high but the food is amazing. Nice atmosphere, wonderful staff and service, beautiful location, clean, great drink selection. We will definitely be going back! Well done Nico's!!!

Fresh fish, poke counter, desserts to go, packaged shrimp chips, gummy bears and coconut peanut butter. Loud, but nice view of the stream. Free parking in open lot. Draft beer served really cold. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is good.

Awesome! A chill vibe, but with an amazing menu! The pork belly is a must. Friendly staff. Even has some sweets up front that you can take to go! Thanks, hope to be back!

The music was so good!! I can do without the noisy inconsiderate folks who are apparently there just to drink and talk loud

i have been living in Hawaii for a year i moved from vegas so i have really high standards. so don't take it lightly when i say this place has the best service and the best food on the island! i ordered a simple burger and it had so much flavor. my wife got the catch of the day which was peppered tuna. and i don't like sea food but i thought it tasted great! i plan on going there monthly at least! this place is a must visit!

Fantastic after a morning at the beach! Same quality as that of Nico's Pier 38! When in Kailua this is the place to go! It was the old Yum Yum Tree which brings me great memories! Drop in!

Ordered the garlic pesto shrimp for lunch. It was ok. The salad and rice that came with was incorrect.

Reasonable prices. Crowded. Unfortunately don't take reservations. Nothing but rice or house salad for vegetarians. Good beer selection.

Covid has the kitchen pretty slow but the food that turns out is top stuff.

We love all Nico's on Oahu. Great food at great prices. They continue their fantastic service through the pandemic. I live everything about this restaurant!

Nico's Kailua is currently open for lunch and drinks with last call at 3pm. As of Thursday, May 04, 2017, Nico's is going to start a Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm and will stay open from 10am to 6pm. Lunch will end at 4pm and they will offer a pupu menu from 4pm to 6pm. They have targeted May 27th to open for dinner.

Great Ahi Tuna sandwich! However the lunch service was a bit confusing. You seat yourself, then walk back to the front to place your order. Then when finishing up it was unclear whether we take up our trash OR is they take care of it. We just did it ourselves

Just as good as the one in Honolulu! Ahi tempura bites were amazing!

Nico's is one of our favorite places to eat. The fish is the freshest in town. Fish and chips used swordfish today. Everyone loved it. I had seared ahi salad and it is always delicious. I highly recommend Nico's.

Bacon and eggs under $20 including fresh fruit, a sensational carrot cake, and a beautiful terrific manager...I swear I thought I was lost

When we arrived (after calling to make sure they were still serving new customers at 8:24pm to which we were told yes) from the moment we walked in the waitress rushed us to a table with a sigh, then asked for our order, to which we asked if we could have a moment to look at menu and then my hubby ordered a beer and I ordered a Virgin Pina Coloda and she actually asked me if I was sure I didn't want alcohol in it!?!Needless to say we ate as fast as we could and ended up getting to go boxes which we had to fill ourselves, and that's not the worst part. As we were leaving behind us the shut the outside light off, no kidding, then their sign light and the guy who was doing it noticed I was video recording and he asked why and I said for a review and his attitude completely changed. So if you go to Nico's make sure it's at least 2 hrs before 9:30 pm when they close

The newly added dinner menu is simple but with a satisfying amount a dishes. The peppercorn Swordfish with vegetables and mash potatoes was delicious. If you want a nice view ask to be seated toward the back of the restaurant.

Definitely a different taste! I had the catch of the day — mahi mahi served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mashed potatoes were hands down delicious and the mahi was very tender.

We came here for an early dinner a few weeks ago. The food is always good here and the fish is really fresh. My daughter was passed out for a nap and the restaurant wasn't very loud.

I love this place. The drinks are great, they are not stingy with the alcohol. The food is fresh and fabulous! Best fish n chips i have had on the entire island. The atmosphere is one of celebratory and family friendly in the table section.

Had the Hawaii plate, which was delicious and locally derived. Atmosphere is causal. We came at lunch time so it was open seating and order at the front.

100 times better then pinky's food was thanks for coming on the east side! Poke was delicious! Steak was perfect service was perfect!

Overall had a great time. We ordered the ahi bites and truffle fries to start while waiting for dinner service. Both were delicious! I ordered the chicken wings as my main entree. Not too spicy and has a great flavor. They are cooked well.

Decent service. I recommend the seared tuna. Also tried tried the salmon... was delivered to me extra rare instead of medium but it was corrected quickly. Overall good experience. Deserts are great as well!

Ordered today to try to help support local business. This is hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had! I've eaten fish and chips in England, Scotland, many different states, but this was terrific! Please support them so they stay in Kaia!

Steak was cooked very nicely! Partner didnt like his ceasar salad because it tasted 'sour and fishy'. Mine was delicious. Loved the live performance. Wished they offered outdoor seating but overall great food with nice serving sizes.

Delicious seafood and a busy restaurant that is able to accommodate families with young kids as well as larger groups. It's noisy on the bar side as they have live music but the dining side is very pleasant as the music is played over the speakers. Food was very good and our server was attentive. The "nachos" were delicious with the perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Fantastic kailua bar and grill. Great staff, awesome regulars.
